WHAT MAKES YOU AN EXPERT IN DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING BESPOKE FURNITURE?

PETER: 'I have been working for more than 20 years in construction industry. I qualified as an Environmental Protection Engineer, hence my belief in sustainable wood sources and the power of recycling and reclamation. As well, I completed Bench Joinery Level 3 in London, and Furniture and Making Design Degree in Oxford. I have been actively working as cabinetmaker since 2006. In addition, I started my own design and making business in 2011: JPR FURNITURE DESIGN,  together with my wife, Joanna, who is an architect and designer.

WHAT DOES YOUR COMPANY REALLY DO?

PETER: 'We are very proud to design and manufacture perfect bespoke solutions like kitchens, living rooms, study rooms and bedrooms. We love designing and fitting individual rooms and one-off items of furniture, but we have also undertaken many whole house projects in London and surrounding areas, working closely with interior designers and architects to bring a completely coherent look to rooms and connecting spaces'.

PETER: 'Our bespoke service provides you with the opportunity to be involved in every step of the creation of a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture that is designed and crafted to your personal requirements. Your total satisfaction is very important to us, however challenging the project is. All our BESPOKE FURNITURE is made from a selection of fine materials and classic finishes and they are all environmentally friendly. As well, with our professional help, you can personalize subtle features such as door handles, details and sizes of drawers, to complement your UNIQUE style.'

HOW BEST YOU CAN WORK WITH YOUR CLIENTS TO HELP THEM CREATE THEIR DREAM FURNITURE?

PETER: 'I am involved with client meetings from the outset, so I gain a full understanding of the space and surroundings in which the furniture will sit, including how and when it will be used. In addition, I can discuss the requirements for finishes and make suggestions on which materials might suit your preferences, time constrains and budget. We are able to take bespoke furniture from initial concept to completion and delivery. If we can fully understand your requirements and respond to your needs. We can ensure the highest quality, match and fit.'

HOW DESIGNER CAN HELP WITH EVERY STAGE OF THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT PROCESS?

PETER: 'Our entire Design and Furniture making  Process includes 5 steps:

Step 1: Initial Design Consultation

The first step of our project process is to have a telephone or e-mail conversation with client to gain initial understanding of project requirements and budget. 

Step 2: Design Visit
We can arrange design visit to discuss requirements, assess the space and prepare design proposal

Step 3: Design and Quote 

Once design drawing is accepted, we will come back to the client to take precise measurements and finalise design. A deposit is payable at this point, usually up to 50% of the order value. The final production drawings are sent to the client for final approval.

Step 4: Pre-production & Project Management
We will prepare detailed production CAD drawings for manufacturing process and order all materials. We will liaise with any other contractors, architects and interior designers on site if necessary 

Step 5: Manufacturing, Installation & Aftercare
We will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery and installation date.'
